New Trailer: ‘Thor: The Dark World’

Thor: The Dark World

Marvel has released a new trailer for Thor: The Dark World which shows off a bit of new footage in addition to some of the footage from the last trailer. The trailer certainly highlights the film’s darker tone, but also shows off a bit of the humor that will break up that tone.

Thor: The Dark World is scheduled to be released on November 8 and brings back most of the original cast including Chris Hemsworth as Thor, Natalie Portman as Jane Foster, Tom Hiddleston as Loki, Anthony Hopkins as Odin, Stellan Skarsgård as Dr. Erik Selvig, Idris Elba as Heimdall, Kat Dennings as Darcy Lewis, Ray Stevenson as Volstagg, Jaimie Alexander as Sif, Tadanobu Asano as Hogun, and Rene Russo as Frigga. Joining the cast for the superhero sequel is Christopher Eccleston(Doctor WhoG.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra) as supervillian Malekith the Accursed, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje (LostThe Bourne Identity) as Dark Elf Algrim the Strong aka Kurse, and Zachary Levi (ChuckTangled) who takes the role of Fandral replacing Josh Dallas who played the character in the first film. Also cast is actor Chris O’Dowd in an unspecified role.

Thor: The Dark World is directed by Alan Taylor, produced by Kevin Feige, distributed by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures, and will hit on theaters November 8
