You wanted the best. You GOT the best.
Just moments ago, MTV Geek broke word over Twitter that Clark Gregg surprised the crowd at Marvel’s TV panel at New York Comic Con, with a quip on his lips.
“Have you ever heard of a Life Model Decoy? Coulson Lives.”
I can only imagine the screams. A video was then played of Marvel Cinematic Grand Intelligence, Joss Whedon who assured the crowd that “There was never going to be a S.H.I.E.L.D. show without Coulson.”
I can only imagine the SECOND chorus of screams.
Honestly, this makes me insanely happy. Clark Gregg is one of those superior That Guy actors that always stood out when he was in a big ensemble, and he has really hit paydirt with the role of Phil Coulson, a role that COULD have just been a boring suit that was only there as a plot device, but was made a true scene stealer in the hands of pro like Gregg.
So now with this announcement AND his recent inclusion on the cover of Nick Spencer’s upcoming Secret Avengers relaunch could 2013 be The Year of The Coul?
One DESPERATELY hopes.
YOU WERE THE GREATEST MAN I EVER KNEW!,
